Welcome
Welcome! Like the book of the same name, this blog is an eclectic collection of Sherlockian scribblings based on more than a half-century of reading Sherlock Holmes. Please add your own thoughts. You can also follow me on Twitter @DanAndriacco and on my Facebook fan page at Dan Andriacco Mysteries. You might also be interested in my Amazon Author Page. My books are also available at Barnes & Noble and in all main electronic formats including Kindle, Nook, Kobo and iBooks for the iPad.

Among friends: At the Tankerville Club
On Friday, September 30, I gave my talk on "Sherlock Holmes and the Development of Detective Fiction" to the Tankerville Club, the Sherlock Holmes society in Cincinnati to which I have belonged since 1981.
More than 20 years ago I gave a talk to the same group on the art of writing the Holmes pastiche -- but not to the same people. As I looked around at the crowd on Friday, very few of them were members two decades ago.
That first talk became a chapter in my book Baker Street Beat. Perhaps the new talk will become a chapter some day in Baker Street Repeat!
