Kudos from Kaska -- and Walters, too

This has been quite a day.

Mystery writer Kathleen Kaska, author of the Sydney Lockhart series, has posted the first review of Holmes Sweet Holmes on her entertainingly diverse blog, Birds and Books. Instead of quoting at length here, I'll let you read it for yourself.

Over on the other side of the ocean, British Sherlock Holmes writer Charlotte Walters, author of Barefoot on Baker Street, was inspired by reading Baker Street Beat to write a thoughtful blog post about what she chose to write the kind of Sherlock Holmes novel that she did. Along the way she has some kind things to say about my own pastiche, "The Peculiar Persecution of John Vincent Harden."
