Put That in Your Pipe and Smoke It!

Among the unexpected delights of our recent London trip, because we didn't think much about it in advance, was shopping at Covent Garden Market. We did quite a bit to help the British economy on that foray.

One of the cool things we did not buy was "The Return of Sherlock Holmes Collection," a set of seven pipes sold at a shop called Sugar & Snuff Parlour. Each pipe had a different design and a different name. The names all had clear Canonical significance, but one does wonder why some of them were chosen.

Here they are:
  • the Rathbone
  • the Hudson
  • the Mycroft
  • the Lestrade
  • the Milverton
  • the Strand
  • the Hansom
