Bar Linda
Right across from the Sherlock Holmes Museum in London, 224-226 Baker Street, is a restaurant that couldn't fail to catch my eye. It's a Holmes-themed Italian bistro called Bar Linda. At the time I was writing The Disappearance of Mr. James Philimore, a mystery novel which features my half-Italian character Lynda Teal. Lynda has been known to enjoy the occasional bourbon, so this was perfect for her. In a minor way, I wrote Bar Linda into the book -- sort of a cameo appearance.
