Always 1895, Always Enjoyable

The blog Always 1895, which is always an interesting read, looks great on my iPhone! I just found that out tonight.

In a recent post on that blog, Matt Laffey says that he has been hesitant to read Shadowfall because it seems "so magically non-canonical sounding." He's right -- it is! I didn't think I would enjoy it, either, and I certainly wouldn't have if I had judged it against the standard of canonical verisimilitude. For me, it was one of those books where I just suspended disbelief and went along for the ride. I found it creative and well written fun.
